Kaidak Energy Services was built on a strong foundation, with years of industry experience and a desire to offer clients superior quality facility construction and maintenance solutions.

Bryce Bell - General Manager

Bryce Bell - President

Bryce has been living and breathing the oil and gas industry for a long time. His career started with hands on learning as a roughneck working on service rigs in Zama, Alberta.

Rounding out his real-world education included work as a field technician at Roska DBO back in 2001, then working as an Operations Coordinator, followed by roles as a Sales and Special Projects Coordination and Operations Solutions Manager.

While continuing to balance hands-on work with relevant courses, Bryce started a production equipment rental business and worked as an inspector for a large oil producer.

In 2016 while the energy industry was in a downturn, he worked on setting up Kaidak Energy Services as a Facility Construction and Maintenance provider and has not looked back.

Thanks to this extensive experience across the industry, Bryce is exceptional at liaising across functional areas, including business development, engineering, operations solutions, project planning, and project management on behalf of Kaidak Energy Services.

Bryce applies his past roles and training to build long-term relationships, work with clients to identify emerging needs, and develop the custom solutions clients need to get jobs done.

After growing up in the Northwest Territories, Bryce has spent the last two decades in Peace Country. When he is not focusing his energy on meeting clients' needs, he enjoys farming, camping, and travelling with his wife and two children.

Faye Bell - Corporate Services Manager

Faye Bell - Corporate Services Manager

If you have any questions about Kaidak Energy, talk to Faye! As one of the people influential in launching Kaidak Energy Services, she's played an integral role in our company from day one. Today she oversees our executive support, internal controls, finance, continuous improvement projects, administrative processes, sales, and marketing (and makes it look easy).

Before Kaidak, Faye earned her diploma in Office Administration and started her professional career working at Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. For 11 years she took care of CNRL's truck maintenance, administrative duties, function planning, and payroll.

Faye really set Kaidak on the right foot by designing our accounting, human resources, payroll, financing, business administration, health and safety systems, IT, and the implementation of an electronic field ticket system. Successful businesses always have a strong administrative foundation, and we have Faye to thank for ours.

In addition to her work at Kaidak, Faye is the fundraising chair for the Grande Prairie Skating Club, a community volunteer for Bezanson, and she completed a Spartan Trifecta obstacle course in 2019! She also manages a super busy home life with kids who are involved in multiple activities.

In her spare time (we're not sure how she finds any), Faye enjoys hiking, reading, playing piano, and travelling. She'll call Eaglesham home until she can buy her condo in Maui—at which point we'll need her to continue to be part of the Kaidak team remotely!

Kim Dillabaugh - Business Development Manager, Calgary

Kim Dillabaugh - Business Development Manager, Calgary

As Kaidak Energy Services grows, we are very fortunate to have people on our team that are guiding us to grow effectively and successfully. Kim is one of those team members.

Kim began working in Oil and Gas in 1997 for a pipe, valve & fitting distributor in Slave Lake where she grew up. Since moving to Calgary in 2000 she has consistently added to her experience in various roles including administrative, procurement, safety & quality control. In 2011 she pivoted into a sales role leading her to where she is today.

She is grateful for the relationships and support throughout her career and always looked for an employer that values & empowers their employees. One of her priorities is ensuring the company culture aligns with her personality and work ethic. She has found working for independently owned companies such as Kaidak are the right fit for her.

We are fortunate to have Kim on our team as we grow and build a business based on trust, integrity, and excellence.

Kim enjoys spending time with her family & friends, camping, golfing, relaxing on a beach next to the ocean and hitting the open road on the motorbikes with her husband.

Kirby Dunn - Project Manager

Kirby is one of our only team members that hails from east of Grande Prairie. He was born in Kindersley Saskatchewan, but since he has lived in Grande Prairie since 1985 this is his hometown now.

With 27 years of experience in Oil and Gas, Kirby's well versed in many aspects of the industry. Past roles have included general maintenance, field and facility operator, lead operator, operations foreman, and MOC coordinator. This experience is invaluable in his role as a project manager and is complemented by his formal training as a 4th Class Power Engineer.

In his work managing projects, Kirby is often key to turnarounds. He also provides professional support in turnaround planning, program and procedure development, and document writing.

Kirby's been key in the planning and executing of some complex turnarounds, as well as revising the management of change (MOC) program, including the development of a new process hazard assessment and training program for a major oil and gas company. He is an important part of our ability to provide turnarounds.

When he is not working, Kirby can often be found enjoying the great outdoors—usually golfing or hiking.

Gordon Nish - Innovation Lead

Gordon Nish - Innovation Lead

Gordon has always believed in the saying “work smarter, not harder”, and he would argue that using cutting edge technology is smart stuff.

Over the past 5 years, he has focused his attention on laser scanning technology, geomatics, and reverse engineered CAD modelling. The majority of his completed projects over this time were in oil/gas, and he sees huge potential in using this tech for a variety of cases in this, as well as other industrial sectors.

Outside of the office, almost all of his time is spent helping his wonderful wife raise 5, very active children. When he is able to make an escape, he enjoys Judo, backcountry hiking, camping and dirtbiking.

Originally from southeastern BC, he lived in New York City and France, before settling down in Alberta to go to University.

He holds a BSc, and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
